Let’s take a peek into the creative practice of doing small things with great love. This week marks a special anniversary for me, a decade of practicing great love for my small business as a Creative Life Coach. In its truest form, you could call that journey one long creative project not much different than the creative projects you yourself find floating around in your heart.
I love to break down how we create. I don’t mean how you do a collage or painting, or how to dance or layout your garden. I mean looking at the building blocks of getting from that initial creative spark to celebrating a sense of completion as part of our creative life journey.
That is where “small things with great love” come into play when we are exploring the how of creativity. Creativity is about building our great love with small things.

In this world, we can not do great things. We can only do small things with great love. ~Mother Teresa You begin with making your small decisions. You navigate small pivots. Follow your small hopes. Take small risks, and small leaps of faith; until, finally, you discover the great love has manifested from your heart, through your actions, into this life. You set out to create the great thing, but honoring the small things with intention is the special sauce that gets you there. Every step of my creative journey has been on a vessel made for more than just me. These 10 years, I have felt like the conductor of a growing, grand railway where Creatives from all sorts of backgrounds joined the adventure: novice and seasoned Creatives, individual practitioners and creative entrepreneurs, maker-mystics and quantum-crafters alike. And so… the adventure continues.

If you have found this here, consider it an invitation to add yourself to our practice of small things done in the pursuit of great love. Ask yourself what in your heart wishes to be rooted in your life. Then engage that morsel with small actions every day. You are worth the risk. I promise.
